Livesafe Workshop Promotes a Culture of Safety at PES

PES recently hosted a LiveSafe workshop for OXY, bringing together more than 40 participants to focus on elevating safety awareness. Danos Deepwater Operator Scott Hawkins served as the lead facilitator, guiding discussions and exercises designed to make safety personal, relevant and actionable.

The session kicked off with a safety moment shared by PES Safety Manager Stephen Gros setting the tone for meaningful conversations about risk awareness and prevention. Training Coordinator Samantha Lyons played a key role in organizing the event and ensuring a smooth experience for all attendees.

The one-day LiveSafe workshop challenges participants to reflect on their own relationship with safety. Through discussions and interactive exercises, attendees explored the contradiction between knowing the importance of safety and the risks we sometimes take.

The session encouraged employees to:

  • Examine personal safety habits and the choices that impact them.

  • Recognize and address risks—both for themselves and their coworkers.

  • Gain a clear understanding of what LiveSafe truly means.

  • Empower one another to speak up and take action when safety is at stake.

  • Commit to real change by identifying key actions to improve safety at work and at home.

Thanks to all who participated in making this event a success!
